>Kingdom of Pessus - Legacy of the Giants
>Among Lomria's most persistent unconquered foes is the martial Kingdom of Pessus, which had its beginnings as a city-state likewise settled from the lands and survivors of the Old Nation, content with living a simpler life and gradually forgetting their origins over the need to survive in the arid wilderness which they found themselves situated. At first little more than the largest of several tribes of barbarians, the chieftain of who would found the kingdom was one day contacted by a Colossi, one of the cursed giants of the first age when such beings ruled the earth and tried to defy the gods. The Colossi posed as a diety of war and taught the Pessians about governance, magic, slavery, and the hypocrisies of the gods in between bouts of blood curdling rage that made kittens of the strongest of men in their beholding, forging his chosen people into a pale replica of the realm he once served. Several tribes were subjugated and forced into servitude, the blood of promising slaves expunged and used in dark rituals to give the elite of the Pessian champions supernatural strength such that they could carve stone with their bare hands and construct fortifications without tools.
>In spite of their gleaming bronze armor and the disciplined formations of their phalanx when marching, the Pessians are savage berserks in combat who use brute strength and resilience in order to overpower their foes, smashing through enemy ranks like cannonfire and capable of tearing a man's head off when sufficiently engaged. Legendarily, it is said that those who have trained under the war god himself have been imbued with his strength and can hunt even the Autocurrus Armatus, throwing spears with such force as to be able to topple fortress walls or the steel skin of an armati war machine. These champions repurpose the burning blood of the armatus in order to melt their bodies down to forge weapons of which to slay more believers of false gods.
