6:2*(1+2) = 6 : 2 * 3 = 3 * 3 = 9
You would need an extra set of brackets for denominator to be six and the answer subsequently to be one:
6:(2*(1+2)) = 6:(2*3) = 6:6 = 1
All said, just use fractions to avoid confusion.
