tf2 is a shitty rts game if you think about it.
spy and payload are shit and should be discarded.
FPS shooter games are bad because instead of stuff like defending and pushing you get cowardice, divisions in skill, and nothing but frustration.
Say for example tf2 was an rts (except spy because hes stupid) you have your defensive unit engineer building and setting up turrets and have to other classes used effectively to push or defend points, there simply is no place for cowardice. That element of cowardice stems from lack of skill where as each respective unit should be of a certain skill and the other factor being general cowardice from selfishly wanting huge number of kills and not dying
when you advance or defend there are going to be casaulties no matter what and that is just the reality of warfare. hence why shooter games would be better as an RTS and FPS games are shit and also games like XCOM are also shit
