Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan is somewhat; Simon is the real pilot, but Yoko (and like a dozen others, another one of whom is a chick I forget the name of) are in it and do actually do stuff. And for the sake of mentioning it: two out of the main five squad members in Majestic Prince (where Red 5 is from) are girls.
