Hang on. So... the puzzle says all the chicks peck whoever is next to them? The only thing that's random is whether they peck left or right?
If they all peck left, every chick is pecked, ditto all right. Well, what's to stop them doing either and having all the chicks pecked? If one asshole chick is out of line, then it's 99%, 2 assholes 98%...etc But we don't know how many of the chicks are assholes, from the question???
