Valerian helps you naturally manage stress and calms the nerves. I have severe panic attacks and this actually works. It is not strong like xanax which will knock you out. Because of the side effects and addictive potential, I only take xanax if I am going to end up in the emergency room.
Xanax + alcohol = instant black out. You can do really crazy shit and have no knowledge of it the next day. Sometimes it's fun with friends, but dangerous if you left the house.
Try natural things first. The withdrawal from Benzodiazipines is worse than heroin and you can die if you stop taking it once you're hooked.
