It wasn't enough for the kulaks that Stalin was giving them a fixed pay to help ease off the famine, they literally wasted food and supplies just to spite a government that gave them a helping hand just because they didn't get their way of overpricing their grains.
I'm not even a fan of China and whatever Mao has done. The only thing I like about him is that he stepped up China from being a backward country into an industrial powerhouse in just a couple of decades.
