It would be annoying to replace all the statues with some other figure especially when the cities and towns by and large would rather keep them (at least as far as I can tell.) Self-determination and all that.
also idk if I count as a neo-confederate, I'm only in it for the cultural significance and secession. I don't want a new confederacy, just for the "south to rise again" or whatever.
