The machines attached to Nikki are still beeping steadily, and it seems to be that noise Sheila has been subconsciously dreaming about for the last few hours. In her dreams, she wasn't able to speak like normal, and every time she tried to say what 'some people' consider a bad word, that obnoxious 'beep' would censor her. It was infuriating.]More importantly, someone has placed a spare blanket over her in the night, and Sheila is comfortable and warm. As she wakes properly, she acknowledges a second set of deep breaths coming from Nikki's bed. As carefully as she can, Sheila peeks over, and her spirits are immediately lifted when she sees it is Amy Flame. A goofy, warm smile forms on Sheila's face. Sheila hadn't had a chance to catch up with Amy -- another Australian, wouldn't you know! -- since she got back. A catch up will have to wait, though, because the way Amy is holding Nikki so tightly, Sheila wouldn’t wake them for all the beer in Spaghetti Town.
Sheila sits back in her chair and looks out the window. The sun is rising, the birds are singing, and Nikki is going to be okay. Sheila will make sure of it. She thinks to herself:
'Oi've got a habit of waking up in hospitals next ta redheads.'
