>>9867716a language degree? i'd say a solid 5. not particularly useful or useless. it's very useful as a supplementary skill so if you want to use your cs degree to work at nintendo, japanese would be a solid thing to have on your resume.
another thing i've noticed it that those college language programs don't fuck around. unless you're a complete screw up, you will walk out of there knowing the language, it's pretty intense. another thing i've noticed is that if it's a european language there's a lot of literature thrown in and that would make me kill my self.
but if it's something more exotic, there should be comparatively less of that since you'd need to spend more time actually studying writing and grammar.
idk if it was free for me, i'd probably pick something i've always wanted to know like gook or japonese or something easy where i can slack off, like russian.
