Nocturnal Encounters - A complete record of all demonic encounters reported within The Kingdom. Oh yes, this seems very promising. Nikki skims through the first few introductory pages, which among other things establish that the book is a compilation of a number of other similar publications made throughout The Kingdom’s history.
Nikki finds a table of contents. Direct encounters. Nope. Dreams. Yes. She turns the pages frantically and reads a number of reports. First of a man over a hundred years ago who claimed a demon attacked him through a dream. Then another, seventy-five years before that, claiming a female demon had sex with him during a dream, an encounter which apparently left him on the verge of death. Next, a woman fifty years ago claiming a demon told her it was her great-grandmother?
Nikki pays closer attention to this one, and a chill goes down her spine when she spots another detail, as the report claims the woman mentioned the presence of ‘a near copy of herself which she was forced to subdue during the dream.’ Did this woman have a… Coco? Why was she forced to hurt it?
The report is five pages long, so Nikki decides she should read the entire thing thoroughly. But before she can get any further, the sound of a commotion from the main entrance of the Royal Archives reaches her ears. Nikki exchanges a glance with Elyssa, whose expression betrays nothing. Someone is coming. But who?
