Nikki grimaces as she notices. She'd interfere on Jen's behalf against most opponents, but this was a friendly match between pals. Worst of all she didn't even have any recollection of what she could see herself doing in the footage. Coco must have briefly taken control of her body a few times.
As Sheila approaches, Nikki is apologetic. “Sorry about those interferences. I know it sounds weird, but that wasn’t me.” She could just imagine how Priscilla would react if she could hear her now, apologising for Coco's actions. She wouldn't be in that position if she had some way of controlling Coco. Or if she could just get rid of her the way Priscilla wanted... No. That wouldn't work. And besides, Coco was just Priscilla's excuse to push her out the door. To discard her when she became inconvenient. And Priscilla needed to pay for that.
With a sigh, Nikki pushes the thoughts away as she and Spirit follow Sheila toward the backstage area. “When we’ve had a few drinks I’ll explain everything to you about Coco, and then I promise it’ll make a whole lot more sense. And speaking of drinks, how about instead of a pub we go to Club Xtacy? With Cassie out of the picture, I plan on taking control of that place, and no time like the present right? Besides, I’m the next of kin, it’s my birthright.”
Nikki then turns to Spirit. “After I get things sorted at Club Xtacy, I’m gonna head over to The Kingdom for a day or two, that seems like the kind of place where I’d be able to find the information I was looking for about demons. And since your text mentioned your mum might be there, maybe I’ll see her.
