Here is a picture of the youth of Ukraine. Notice the difference between them and the youth of Britain, the USA, Germany, Canada, Australia, France etc.?
Many toward the political right wish to go to Hungary, but why not to Ukraine? Why not Poland? Why not Lithuania and the other Baltic States?
Decommissioned coal power plant parts are being sent from across Europe to Ukraine, as Europe phases out coal (for the most part). Coal could have a bright future in Ukraine for a long time, and the Donets Coal Basin (the "Donbas" for short) is one of the richest coal regions on the planet, with coals ranging from anthracite to very high-calorie bituminous all the way down to subbituminous in the northwestern portion of the basin. It's like Appalachia in terms of its quality of coals -- but the mines are much deeper, therefore much more interesting (to me at least) and more dangerous, since the deeper you go, the greater the risk of a "coal outburst" where a pillar or portion of a pillar just bursts with coal exploding outward from the weight above it.
Anyway, Russian coal companies wouldn't even reply to me, but in Ukraine the state coal companies are extremely welcoming and accommodating. The people I've spoken with seem genuinely friendly and concerned for my safety, asking if I really want to risk myself this way.
No decision is final at this time, but I am highly considering the move, since I want a new homeland anyway.
As to investments, if Ukraine prevails, or the war ends with Ukraine mostly intact, then expect massive Western investment into Ukraine to build it up as a buffer state against Russia, much as West Germany and Japan were funded after World War II to function as buffer states at the doorsteps of the Soviet Union. I am sure mining companies in Ukraine will be good investments at that time.
Note: The original picrel I wanted was too big for /bant/, but it showed Ukraine's Whiteness even better.
