While I myself do not mind thinking that Kim is actually alive and has simply gone dark UNTIL SUCH TIME that his reappearance proves a perfect time to bird the DS as their herald of incoming doom...the timing seems off.
On the other hand, why would NK simply not roll out Little Sister, Kim Yo Jung, IF CHYNA needed an optic of having NK nooks IN THEIR GAME?

The only thing that makes sense IF silence about his death was only a DS ploy to be unrolled preElection, then, this news is a way to bring Kim back into the public eye, until such time -think mid to late September- they use 'him' to freak out their base about NK poised to nuke our West Coast because 'Orange Man was short-sighted enough to Embrace NK'.
