>>207504I think the problem with other chans is that they tend to be too specific or gimmicky, and they don't tend to grow naturally, but get a big boost once and then they start declining.
When it comes to 4chan, I think, or atleast i hope, that the younger more reddit oriented users that now flock to the site thanks to /pol/ becoming viral, will get bored when trump and the like becomes irreverent or when they grow older and leaving the site to the more dedicated users.
The problem with this is that 4chan is still growing, and the newfags lurking now will probably be influenced by /pol/'s temporary site wide influence.
