It was after all, a replacement of one Priscilla had gifted to her. And Nikki was determined to get by without anything from Priscilla, even if it wasn’t directly from her. But the idea of knocking some sense into her? That did have some appeal.
But no. She needed to focus on herself first. Coco may have had a point about getting to the bottom of what they experienced in that dream. And who knows? Maybe learning more about herself and Coco could lead to learning how to control her. The last thing she needed in any kind of conflict with Priscilla was her impulsive counterpart taking over and screwing things up.
Nikki quickly forms a plan. “Ok Coco. We live pretty near to this town’s University, and a University ought to have a pretty big library. So how about we go there, borrow some books about demons from their occult section, and we try to figure out more about that woman with the horns? And if that doesn’t work, well, Jen’s mom is a witch that’s hundreds of years old! Maybe she’d know something that could help us out. And then, once we know what we’re dealing with, we figure out a way to have another lucid dream so we can meet that demon again. What do you think Coco?”

Nikki looks down to see Scratchy watching her intently as she seemingly talks to herself. She raises a middle finger toward the cat, then leaves.
