Very cunningly they did this through their red agents in the name of 'fairness' but what it really meant was that the grammar school ascendency was destroyed and all the working/middle-class kids who'd otherwise have gone to them were forced into comprehensives where they were dragged down by the kids who didn't give a fuck.Same phenomenom here. Public school has taken a nose dive under the guise of "fairness" because kids from well read, well educated family performed better than hardworking kids from a working class background.
Now well educated kids still perform well but poor kids don't, at an alarming rate.
