I do like how they decided to try and cram a whole separate season in-between seasons two and three, and didn't realize how much work it was until after they announced it to everyone. There are enormous fixed costs with running a show, so they are better off just making a full-fledged season instead of going through all the hassle just to do something that will be over in two weeks.
They would have been much better off releasing some small material every Friday, some kind of project to keep fans interested.
