She'd had the WWA World Champion where she wanted her. Another minute or three and that match could have been within reach! But as her temper cools and she looks at Priscilla, it's not so bad. Survive, learn, win. She'd not only survived, but thrived.
Then "La Jefa" Raquel Durango shows up to challenge Priscilla.
Anger rises within Carmody at having the biggest moment of her career to date stolen away like this, and also at being dismissed as a rookie, as a mere roadblock that Priscilla Divine was not able to overcome quickly enough for La Jefa's standards. She considers a kick aimed right to the back of her skull, while "La Jefa" is completely focused on Priscilla, but something stays her hand; even in the face of this kind of disrespect, she's not going to take a cheap shot like that.
She's considering her response when Nikki Kade appears to confront La Jefa and lay out her case as to why SHE was the hero who led Spaghetti Dog's team to victory in the Dog Fight.
One interruption was bad enough. Carmody steps in between Nikki and Raquel and snatches away the microphone.
>"Nikki, Raquel..... if you're gonna insist on stepping all over Priscilla's first TV match since June, and the BIGGEST MATCH of MY CAREER, to push your own agendas, can you at least make sure it's for a better reason than to argue who's more responsible for winning the Dog Fight? Because here's the thing, both of you: a team's a team, but if you're keeping score officially, Steeli secured the win for you guys. But hey, this ain't my issue. So let's talk about what is."
