>>9695012>In principal there is nothing wrong with praying to angels or saintsI see, so you're not even going to deny that you follow such heretical practices. Yes, there is something very wrong with praying to people who have absolutely no power and aren't God. The whole idea that they will in turn pray to God for you implies that this is somehow a way to trick God, that he wouldn't answer you had you prayed directly to him, but that he is going to answer you now because someone "more relevant" prayed for you.
No righteous person in the Bible has ever prayed to someone other than God. Jesus never ordered you to pray to someone other than God. The second commandment also says that worshiping anything other than God is heresy, which Jesus has repeated multiple times. But it's not like I ever expected a catholic to follow the Bible.
>the first christians were catholicFew of the first christians even knew who Peter was. When they did, they only knew him as an apostle of Jesus, not as some sort of vicar of Christ. If you want to go back to the actual first Christians, they're the apostles, and none of them submitted to Peter in any way after Jesus's death.
>first guy who called the pope the "Whore of babylon" btwLuther never called the pope the Whore of Babylon, which is only logical since he called him the Antichrist, and you couldn't possibly be both. I also wonder why you're talking about Luther all of a sudden, are you assuming anyone who rejects your precious Whore is a protestant? Because I'm sorry but every single denomination except Catholicism rejects him.
