I need some advice, so there’s this guy I’ve been friends with for a couple of years, I’ve had a massive crush on him for a long time and I finally confessed, not hoping that he would like be back (he had a gf, I’m also ugly asf). He messages me back and tells me he liked me for a while but gave up cause he thought he would never like me back. Finally I was getting over him but this brought me back to hoping, knowing that it was possible a guy would like me. He has a really good relationship with his gf, and I have no intention of trying to undermine their relationship but each time he brings her up or says I’m his ‘best friend’ it makes me really sad. Should I stay in contact with him or cut him off? Both choices make me sad to think about but what do you think will be best in the long run?
I swear I’m not looking for orbiters or whatever I just need advice and I have no other irl friends I can ask really. Thanks for reading if u do
