See, I think we have reached a time when it's difficult for alternative platforms to flourish. Nothing youtube-like will take the place of youtube, for example. Same goes for 4chan. This is why every major platform seems to be growing worse. Those who run them know this and they know that they can get away with it as well. But who knows, perhaps you'd say that I'm not seeing the bright side again.
