I personally think the American tank development story is the most interesting. They joined WWII with the Lee looking like it came out of the inter-war period like wtf and then tweaking it into the Sherman, the best tank of the war, then tries to get onto the MBT plan started by the British and makes the Patton, another great series, and then helped design, with Western Germany and Co., the basis for the modern western MBT. But really, all the developments, even Italian, are really interesting
