Regardless of anything and everything else in life being healthy and in shape will result in a better life than not and instead being in poor shape. One thing you can be certain of is that so long as you remain alive your body will age and deteriorate with time and accordingly pain awaits you in the future. Being healthy is the only thing which will mitigate that pain. You don't need to become a bodybuilder or an obsessive health food guru, or run marathons and climb mountains. Just don't do hard drugs, don't smoke or vape, stay active, don't get too fat, mantain muscle integrity, drink plenty of water, preform cardio exercises for heart and lung health, don't drink to excess, and put a little effort into having a healthy diet and not eating too much processed crap or added sugar. That's it, nothing extreme. Its not about appearance, or status, or attracting women, or even power as it relates to physical strength. It's about being healthy and feeling good into your old age. It's about basic bodily integrity and being master of your own self. Even if changes absolutely nothing about your exterior circumstances that particular form of self improvement will still result in a significantly better quality of life and greater happiness than just allowing yourself to just rot.
