Not for actual cooking. It's simple as that.
If you heat your non stick to high Temps to try and sear a steak it will destroy the nonstickablity of the pan.
Ask how I know.
I also own non stick pans. I love my egg pan. I like my wife non stick pot I use for sauces and pastas.
Each have a place dude. I'm not a purist. I just like cast iron because the durability/multiple uses
