What it comes down to is though, you need to get yourself a hobby or a social group that girls are also in, talk to them, become frens with them, then man up and ask one out. It is possible to brute force it by charming them at clubs or whatever but I doubt that's your style. The whole "friendzone" thing is a meme, generally speaking you do need to get to know them first and be on good terms if you wanna have a shot at her saying 'yes' when you ask her out. If she just wants to be friends there's a myriad of reasons as to why that could be. It sucks, but it happens. Be sad, move on, try again next time.
