>>320087299>Show me where I can buy one for less than a thousand dollars and I’m in.I haven't looked at anything in months as I bought before the panic buying. A neighbor just picked up a S&W M&P Sport II with aluminum hand guards, Vortex optic, and decent grip/buttstock for $900 on an online trading site. He turned around and sold it for a grand thinking it's not good enough being an entry level rifle. Gun.deals will have stuff down around $600, but a M&P Sport II is the minimum I'd recommend. Ammo is the killer right now though, but the aforementioned kid did find some 556 at a local flea market for 65 cents a round, which is decent now.
I'd do some reading on any $500 semi-auto shotgun first, and private reviews like at
ar15.com and not just the gun rag reviews which are usually stellar even for garbage. A couple hours reading about them on the forums and you'll know what's junk versus not.
Police trade ins are a beautiful thing too, save a chunk over new. Shit is getting bought up quick though, I'm sure. Aimsurplus and sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore are places I've bought milsurp and trade ins for decent prices. And cops typically don't arm their boys with garbage, and although they may be scratched up some with holster wear, they're not shot much other than annual qualifying. Picrel were under $500 apiece and the pair of P229s I got were damn near as new with near zero miles on them. Can't bitch about less than half price. Police trade in Remington 870s come up a lot too if shotties is your thing. Trade in ARs come up sometimes, but they are going to cost more than before..
