It makes no sense to claim the US is worse for "walkable neighborhoods" compared to Australia, which developed much later, has less carriage infrastructure and railroad suburbs, and doesn't even come close to having cities as walkable as New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., San Francisco...etc. People will do anything to avoid acknowledging basic facts if it means not having to admit America is better.
80% of Australia's built up area is car-oriented and post 1970. America had 100 million people by the 1910s. It objectively has more walkable neighborhoods, by the thousands, than Australia does. Stop being fucking retards.
