Why do they read genre fiction, play video games, watch Star Trek and anime?There's nothing wrong with reading fiction, many times theres great characters in such stories i.e asoiaf but it's also an escape from reality, from the hard cold truth and the hard cold realities of life. It's the same reason I get high sometimes when I feel like my struggles in the world are futile. We are only human and many times we feel alone and vulnerable that's why we try and escape these emotions via drugs, fiction, vidya.
