Let's not be too hard on black musicians. The half dozen or so who can actually play an instrument were pretty damned good back when they were alive.
I've been toying with a campaign accusing MTV of discriminating against blacks by not inviting them to do Unplugged performances. But they would probably just respond with pared down electric performances and session musicians.
