I don't think there are any other intelligent lifeforms out there, it's very unlikely and the idea these supposed alien life forms have visited Earth or made contact with us is so improbable that it is for all intents and purposes impossible. Think of it this way: imagine if we found an intelligent (but more primitive than us) form of life on another planet relatively close to us, do you think we would have just quietly observed them and/or left cryptic symbols for them to interpret? Fuck no. To think a more advanced life form than us would just sit back and observe us is ridiculous.
tl;dr other life is probably out there but it is unintelligent and so far away that we will never find it
