maybe i could have handled it better if i hadn't gotten the impression that it was this high budget super dark and gritty kino affair and i went in without expecting something higher quality. but then again i probably wouldn't have even picked it up if i wasn't hyped.
they're shooting a second season of altered carbon now, with a black guy playing takeshi kovacs. apparently that's true to the books actually. i'm probably not going to watch it though, that show was definitely a notch below the expanse in terms of quality.
