>>9992814>>9992815Unfortunately the re-forestry process hasn't been able to replace much of the forever lost genetic diversity. Replanting projects are great but once virgin forest has been destroyed, it takes thousands of years to even begin to bring back about the genetic and nutrient diversity of the plants, soils and organisms present. It's a shame, there are massive regions that were once rich forests only one hundred or two hundred years ago that humanity will not be able to experience again for millennia.
