>doesn’t it require 50 mods to be even playable though ?Not at all, actually. The original games are pretty good on their own. If you mean that they're buggy, I suppose they are, but, trust me, that's a part of the experience, lol. It's just that, the mods make the game a whole new creature and take it a lot further. You know, if you like soulsborne games for how hardcore they are, you'll really like modded S.T.A.L.K.E.R, it gets pretty out there.
I think you should give the original games a go at some point, but, I feel like you'd actually like it way more if you jumped into Anomaly, it's a really fun experience when you first play and have no idea what's going on, I think, lol, I wish I could play it for the first time again, myself. Look it up, it's free, no need to have any of the games owned beforehand or anything, it's just download and play. See how it goes, if you feel like it and have the time, of course. There's also whole modpacks for Anomaly, but, try the vanilla first.
You could also just start from the official games though, no harm in either way.
I'd like to say more about it, but, I don't really know how to, lol, I think it's something that you have to play for yourself.
