I played a variety of music on bass guitar but the kind I would listen to casually was a fairly narrow cross section of a few genres. Now for whatever reason I like pop. I think Olivia Rodrigo is really good. I liked that argie Nicki Nicole when she was on Tiny Desk although upon review of her other mediocre live performances, that specific one was the best she's ever done.
