>>5818751I do enjoy football (US) season. I like the game itself but a big part of it too is the social aspect, I usually have friends over to hang out and eat pizza and drink beers and whatnot.
Other reasons:
- less games than most sports so it's less time investment
- score changes back and forth pretty often so it can always go either way even in the last seconds of a game
- the season starts when the weather starts getting very comfy and crisp
