He's not manlike, but he can appear as an angel. He's a cherubim. They are not angels. They're the highest level of heavenly host and are winged chimera like with multiple beast heads. In Ezekiel, he's not merely a cherubim, but called the Anointed Cherubim. In Hebrew, Anointed is Moshiach. Messiah. Which is to say, he was the leader and most powerful of his kind.
But fast forward to Revelation, and this chimera like form has been corrupted. He is a Dragon with multiple heads.
