humans are the apex predator, we keep other lifeforms in check, not the other way around
the earth belongs to the humans, that means forests belong to the humans, oceans belong to the humans, and so on. we could potentially have another "zoo planet" in the future but it's suicidal to turn earth into one at the cost of human / technological progress today
imagine one day, in space, we meet a plant based life form
as a vegan, are you going to eat them? how about their 'young', their seeds and saplings
what if the plant people themselves are carnivorous
speaking of which, your dog is also a carnivore, funny how you have no problem killing to feed it
