>>12182727yeah, other upside of bass is that the skill floor for actually doing things is so much lower. like even if you're just playing bare minimum supporting stuff without ever being in the spotlight you need to have a decent level of competency, whereas on bass you can basically strum quarter notes on the bottom of a chord and do your job
probabl yeah, maybe even worse at times. i'd have to record myself and listen back to it in order to be able to get a good idea and even then my understanding of this stuff is pretty shaky. i'm basically just making educated guesses based on intuition.
