>>13444478I have depersonalization which is similar to derealization and I've read a book about it, pic related, it mainly describes how the condition forms (early childhood experience, anxiety, genetic predisposition to anxiety, drug usage etc) . The treatment described in the book is the usual bullshit therapy and anxiety medications. What I've noticed works is facing it head on, When u get anxiety you challenge it and even "provoke" it to get worst. Or you face whatever situation is causing it and try to fix it. When you start to derealize you try to your hardest to snap and focus on things, your environment. I've noticed that avoidment and distraction from it, only prolongs it and makes it worst. I've had some success using this method but I've stopped since it gets tiring and requires constant concentration and Im kinda lazy.
