That's most people bubble of reality and I was having a conversation with someone trying to tell me how the law was the law no matter what and that they thought it was ok to hand out harsh punishments for minor things because that was the law and that was it.
I then said to them well if the law told you to jump off a cliff would you do it ? and they just went quiet for a few seconds as this was too much for their brain to handle and instead of acting like a rational adult they threw a temper tantrum.
At this point I gave up on humanity.
