Possibly it could be a supermassive black hole larger than anything we've seen before, maybe there isn't shit beyond the observable universe except a literal event horizon out of a black hole in which our universe exists. Perhaps we are on our way towards colliding with another multiverse and gravity waves are able to transcend through different multiverses, propagating through many, but being bent and warped by each mutliverses indpendent laws of physics.
