Had an awesome day working at the LCS yesterday, got to play with some series of 1934 $1000 bills and sort through mountains of treasures. One lady came in with 2 $5 gold half eagles in old 2x2s with prices of $22 each written on them, (probably from the 1970s), she said she found them hidden behind the drawer of an antique dresser she bought!
While processing and sorting stuff to put out I saw a chunky 2oz 1797 cartwheel tuppence I desired for my copperchad stack and asked how much I could buy it for. They're very generous and just gave it to me despite my protestations, but since there will be tons of stuff I want I need to nip any potential weirdness or perception that I expect special treatment in the bud so will give them some scrap silver spoons when I go back in later. Anyway the new addition is at bottom in pic, bringing me another 2p closer to my goal of having a full pound sterling (15lbs of copper) in 1797 cartwheels to swim around in.
