>>6206001no idea. it IS in the north of romania and it was a "cosmopolitan" town in the austro hungarian empire for most of its history so there were bound to be plenty of jews there. it got turned over to romania after ww1 so i suppose you could call it infiltration by virtue of there being the largest concentration of juden there. i doubt there were very many before that.
