>>19207416The first commercial SSDs were SLC and MLC, newer ones are TLC, QLC and God knows what else. SLC and MLC are very, very durable. A lot of the old Intel SSDs have firmware that prevents them from ever going unreadeable due to NAND exhaustion. I have an 80GB Intel SATA SSD from 2011. It's still at 86% (write) capacity. Intel Optane is even better.
