Yes, I am a university student, though not a very good one: I tend to skip plenty of classes, I procrastinate when it comes to writing papers and so on.
There're a few reasons why I'm not in control of this:
1. I'm not going to work in this sphere. In fact, I stay in the university just so I don't get forced to serve in the army. Maybe also because I invested too much time here - leaving now would be a waste.
2. Lack of self-discipline. I mostly understand myself, the way psychology, neurotransmitters and the brain in general work - I know the foundation of power of will and how to develop it, yet I can't force myself to do anything.
I procrastinate until the last second. Except if I do some sort of art or learning.
3. My part-time job/hobby takes time that could be spend on studying. And my current income (with less time spent) is already relative to the one I'd had if I worked in the same sphere as I study.

Mostly, yes. The problem is that I still can't control it.
