you send workers to different locations to gather resources, try to build a deck of cards with useful abilities and each turn there's combat where you compete for more resources
you win by getting victory points from combat, spice or gaining influence with the four factions
i'm sure there's plenty of strategic depth to it but i just play my cards randomly and try to draw as many intrigue cards as possible in the hope i get something game breaking
