When it comes to tasting wine it's all about figuring out which variety do you like the most (I prefer syrah and primitivo)
If you want to easily figure out which one is for you you can always visit your local wine cellar and do some tasting there (although that might cost you some money)
There's this nice italian near me who runs a wine shop and you can also order a single glass of any kind because he has special device that allows him to pour from a bottle without opening it
I can always ask him what he recommends and he always provides me something cool allowing tasting a single sip of the kinds he recommends for free
When it comes to which country has the best wine imo it's georgia, bulgaria and moldavia
I'm not a big fan of german red wine however their white wine is the best
