>>21206585Fair enough, but like me ask you this, how realistic should fiction be? Do you know Dragon Ball and Son Goku? The dude has been hit in the head so many times he should have advanced cte + parkinsons + dementia and all sorts of other severe brain damage. There's countless ki blasts and explosions in Dragon Ball that you have to wonder how Goku hasn't lost 80% of his hearing. The ki glows brightly and is often right up in the characters face. Shouldn't Goku and his friends all have cataracts?
Oh, and why doesn't Goku wear a suit of armor or anything? Surely there's some kind of armor that would protect him from his enemies, right? Yet he just wears a orange kung fu gi.
The answer is obvious. None of that would be cool or interesting. Goku is a martial artist so he wears martial artist clothes. Goku in some kind of cyber armor is just silly and doesn't fit the tone. Goku with realistic brain disease would be off putting and ruin the tone once again. It would just make the viewer sad.
Do you see what I mean? The elf doesn't need to wear realistic armor in the same way Goku doesn't need to be realistically injured. Let the elf wear the slutty armor. It's for the viewer. What the censorship people forget is that entertainment is supposed to serve the viewer. Everything is for the viewer.
