The beaches are better than in California, there's decent surfing, you're closer to skiing, you have forests for hiking and snowshoeing, the streets are clean, you have a decent mass transit system, there are tons of college girls, you're closer to Europe so you can call your family, and there's practically no crime or riots. Except for the townies and the commies, it's the best major city in the usa. I only earn $100K a year but I was able to buy a house a ten minute walk to the beach, a two minute walk to the train (that puts me in downtown in 20 mins), and a five minute drive from the forest. It's heaven.
